Benicassim 2023 lineup
The Benicassim 2023 lineup delivered one of the most guitar-driven and crowd-pleasing editions of FIB in recent years. Headliners The Offspring, Franz Ferdinand and Bastille led a bill packed with indie-rock, punk energy and polished chart-pop from names like Zara Larsson, Clean Bandit and Tom Odell. Friday was easily the rowdiest night of the festival. Spanish electro-pop icon La Casa Azul delivered one of the most joyful sets of the entire weekend. Later, Clean Bandit and ELYELLA kept the site moving well past 3am.

Franz Ferdinand delivered what several review sites called a “greatest hits masterclass”, with “Take Me Out” producing one of FIB 2023’s loudest moments. Zara Larsson stole much of the spotlight with a slick, full-production pop show. Meanwhile, Tom Odell drew a surprisingly huge sunset crowd, and Sports Team kept things chaotic and fun. Regard and 2manydjs (appearing in late-night slots across the weekend) acted as the unofficial after-party providers.

Crystal Fighters delivered one of the most uplifting sets of the weekend, mixing folk-dance rhythms with huge feel-good moments that Spanish reviewers described as “pure summer energy”. Bastille closed the festival with a polished, emotional headline set, with “Pompeii” becoming a giant choir moment under the fireworks. Earlier, Mimi Webb and Benson Boone provided modern pop for the younger crowd, while La M.O.D.A. and Belako gave the final day a strong Spanish identity.
What Benicassim 2023 felt like
Reviewers generally agreed that FIB 2023 had a “return-to-form” feeling. After the long break in 2020–21 and a transitional 2022, this edition felt more confident. The site was busy every night, but still relaxed during the day — a classic Benicàssim rhythm of beach all day, arena all night.
Press reviews described:
- Huge crowds for Spanish favourites like Vetusta Morla, Viva Suecia and La Casa Azul
- High-energy pits for The Offspring and Kaiser Chiefs
- A surprise breakout moment for Zara Larsson
- Beautiful sunset atmospheres during Tom Odell, Ginebras and Mimi Webb
- Massive late-night crowds for ELYELLA, Regard and 2manydjs
It was a loud, colourful and wonderfully summery edition — one that many fans described online as the most “fun” FIB since the mid-2010s.
