Organisers of the Benicassim Festival have announced the On Stage Times for Benicassim Festival ( Fib Heineken ) . Kasabian will grace the main stage on the Thursday at 1am. Highlights on Friday 16th July 2010 include Vampire Weekend at 1am, and form 3am Hacienda Dj’s will make the party go on till dawn.
On Saturday, The Specials play some Ska classics at 9:30 with the essex dance gods The Prodigy going on stage at 1am. The Klaxxons play at 3am and Ian Brown at 11:30. Sunday must sees include Dizzee Rascal who will be enjoying a holiday, and disco, at 21:30, the last night is stand out night for me with Lily Allen on at 23:00, the lovely Ellie Goulding on at 21:40. One of my 80s faves Echo and the Bunnymen play at midnight, the the worlds greatest ever animated band the Gorillaz perform at 1am and at 3am Leftfield. What a End to an amazing festival line up.

Lily Allen has been added to the Benicassim 2010 line up along with Ray Davies and the The Japanese Popstars. Benicassim Festival takes place on the weekend of 15 July to 18th July 2010. The headliners are Kasabian, and The Prodigy.
Other recent additions to the spanish festival also known as FIB Heineken, include Peter Hook performing ‘Unknown Pleasures’. there will also be homage to the legendary Manchester club Hacienda with a Haçienda Night with DJ Perfomances from Graeme Park, DJ Pierre, and Justin Robertson.

The lineup of FIB Heineken 2010 ( aka Benicassim Festivall has got some exciting additions confirmed today, US combo Vampire Weekend, and English Acts Leftfield and Calvin Harris, The Courteeners and Klaxxons have been added to the Benicassim line up, for the Spanish festival which takes place on the weekend of 15, 16, 17 and 18 July 2010 Benicàssim

The New York quartet Vampire Weekend rediscovered the rhythm of Africa, for the umpteenth time, with their self-titled debut (2008) has again hit the mark with ‘Contra’ (2010). Urgency tribal, rhythmic excitement and melodic frenzy proposal to give a unique spirit.
Paul Daley and Neil Barnes Leftfield formed in London in the late 80s. ‘Open Up’, featuring John Lydon singing, was the issue that danced half of Europe. Soon after he released his first album ‘Leftism’ (1995). Less than a month ago, announced Neil Barnes returned to the stage after more than ten years of silence.
Klaxons left the bar high with ‘Myths Of The Near Future’ (2007) through temazos electronic pop-rock oriented tracks like breaker ‘Gravity’s Rainbow’ and ‘Golden Skans’ on which the bases and syncopated lucky lucky chorus melodies ennoble plethoric.
And to close the new additions, pop-rock category with The Courteeners, electronics hedonistic hand of Calvin Harris, Cut Copy and Yuksek, and leading with Magnetic Man, Skream and Benga.

FIB Heineken 09 organisers have confirmed the first few acts for Benicassim Festival 2009 and they are some huge names.
Kings of Leon are top of their game at the moment, last year they headlined V Festival and Glastonbury and next year you will be able to see the US rockers by the sea in spain in the sunshine. Kings of Leon Headliners for benicassim 2009

The Benicassim Festival takes place between 13th and 21st July 2009, with music from Thu July 16th 2009.
Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon and Paul Weller are the first names that begin to build the poster of the event’s musical FIB Heineken 09.

Franz Ferdinand and Kings of Leon are the first two heads of the festival poster. Scots turn to unload his powerful art-rock with ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand’ (2009) as an excuse. Kings of Leon, for its part, the successful desgranarán ‘Only By the Night’ (2008). With them, Paul Weller, with new work,’22 Dreams’ (2008) – endorsed the appointment Castellón.

British Legends Oasis have being officially confirmed to play the Benicàssim festival 2009. They have been strongly rumoured to be playing, and have even announced it on their own website, but today FIB Heineken ( benicassim festival) organisers confirmed the worst kept secret that the Manchester band will be playing the festival.

The 4 day festival takes place 16th – 19th July 2009, the manchester band lead by the gallagher brothers Noel and Liam, will almost certaintly headline one of the days. The actual day has not yet being confirmed.
Oasis join a line up which includes Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand and Paul Weller. The line up is already looking like one of the best ever with a promise of more big names to be added in the next few weeks.

What do you think of the line up so far?

Oasis are set to play a series of summer festivals in 2009 according to Virtual Festivals website. They say that the Manchester band fronted by the gallagher brothers will headline one of the days of the spanish festival due to take place on 16-19 July 2009.

This is massive news, the 2008 festival was a great success as an event, but fans of this forum were not so keen on the 2008 line up.

If the gossip surrounding Oasis being on the Benicassim Festival is confirmed is a good sign that in 2009 the organisers are going to go for bigger world acts, to establish Benicassim as one of the biggest events in the European Festival Calendar.

Smiths Legend Morrissey has been added to the Benicassim line up. Morrissey last played Benicassim in 2006 take a look at the youtube video of his perfomance then.
Morrissey is a welcome addition to the benicassim 2008 line up and he will also peform at the Saturday Night Fiber – Benicàssim Day in Madrid event.
Morrisey first thrilled spanish crowds when he performed with the smiths when they played in Madrid in 1985.

The Benicassim Festival line up has been announced bands playing include Babyshambles , My Bloody Valentine  and  Jose Gonzalez.
The Spanish festival takes place between Thursday 17th July 2008 and Sunday 20th July 2008 in Benicasim which is between Valencia and Barcelona on the east coast of spain.

The event is also known as Festival Internacional de Benicassim or FIB Heineken.     In previous years acts such as Muse, Morrisey, Artic Monkeys, Radiohead and the Cure have all played the event.

Benicassim always serves up a great mix of Indie Bands and established world famous rock bands, together with local Spanish groups and top DJ’s.  The event is different to UK festivals with music starting late evening and going through the night.  The event is right next to the beach so in the day time fans cheer around the beach, or in hotel pool areas.
